Mary Edith Willhoite, 92, loving mother and grandmother, left her earthly home on June 2, 2024. Born on February 17, 1932 in Woodford County, KY, Mary was the daughter of late Ernest and Josephine Wattenbarger Drury.

Survivors include her daughter Laviana Hasty, and two sons Kenny (Margaret) and Gilbert Lowry; several grandchildren including, Jennifer Hasty (Brandon Hoskins and Malinda Hasty), Marilyn Lindsey (Lance, Easton and "Emma" Lindsey), Jessica Johnson (Anthony Johnson), Stephanie Whortenbury (Zachery and Makinley Cox , Kevin and Rilynn Whortenbury), Keith Alexander, Dylan Hensley (Ashley and Raya Hensley), Dwayne Masters (Brooklyn Masters), and Michael Masters (Mason Masters).

Mary was preceded in death by her late husband Marion Willhoite and one daughter Brenda Jo Hensley; 4 brothers, Elmer Drury, Ernest Drury, Jr., Leroy Drury and Clyde Drury, along with 2 sisters, Geneva Scott and Pearl Downs.

Mary was a long-time resident of Jessamine County. She enjoyed attending church, shopping, Western and Country gospel programs, good food and milkshakes. Mary was just a simple person. She didn’t live life with high expectations. She just took things for what they were and kept moving right along. No matter what it was, she would always say, "Just pray about it."

Mary, will be missed beyond measure and will be remembered not only for her contagious smile, but also for being a genuine, kind and selfless loving person. She will forever be loved by her family and friends because she loved them no matter what until the very end.

A Greeting of Friends and Family will be Monday, June 10 beginning at 4:00 PM and ending 8:00 PM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, with cremation to follow. She will be laid to rest with her mother at Wilmore Cemetery.

Mary left this earth with peace knowing that she was going to be welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior and be reunited with her family and friends who had gone on before her.
