Wilmore: Max Banker, 86, died Fri. Sept. 29, 2006, at Wesley Village in Wilmore. He was a native of Shelbyville, IN, born April 10, 1920 to the late Everett Stanley Banker and Margaurite Effie Dugan Banker. He was the widower of Ruth Ellen Henry Banker, who died in 1993. He was a United States Army Air Force Veteran having served in WWII, a missionary to India, and past member of Kiwanis Club in IN. He was a volunteer for Jessamine County Hospice and the American Bible Society as well as an active member of the Stonewall Wesleyan Church. Max worked as a public school administrator in Ohio, as registrar for Indiana Wesleyan College (formerly Marion College), and registrar at Asbury Theological Seminary. He is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Banker, and Evelyn Bell and husband James, one son, Bruce Banker and wife Susan, six grandchildren, Craig Banker and wife Lindsey, Christina Banker, Curtis Banker, Jason Boots and wife Emily, Aaron Boots and wife Anna, and Alicia Bell, as well as two great grandchildren, Brysen Boots and Carson Boots, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2:00PM Mon., Oct. 2, at Wesley Village Community Center in Wilmore with Rev. James Monck officiating, burial in Wilmore Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Craig Banker, Curtis Banker, Jason Boots, Aaron Boots, Stanley Banker, and Timothy Tittle. Visitation will be Sun. Oct. 1, from 4 to 8 PM at Wesley Village Community Center.
