Michael Collins, age 60, left his earthly home at Lake Cumberland Hospital on Friday, January 1, 2016. He was born in Jessamine County, KY on Feb. 25, 1955 to the late Phil C. Collins, Sr. and Bessie Chapman Collins. Michael was a self-employed mechanic who enjoyed fishing, reading, and puzzles. Survivors include wife, Melissa Collins, children Michael Austin Collins and Adrian Collins, brothers and sisters Kirby Lane Collins, Mary Courtney, Jimmy Collins, Ann Burris, Stanley Collins, and Robert Collins, and grandchildren Hanya Collins, Sakari Collins, Tyee Collins, and Audun Collins. Michael was preceded in death by brothers Alvin Collins and Phil Collins, Jr. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored that the family chose them for cremation.
