Michael Wasson

Michael Wasson, 22, son of Christy Denise Stokley and the late Woody Keith Wasson, left his earthly home on Thursday Dec. 29. 2022.  He was born in Lexington on April 28, 2000.  He loved Demolition Derby and from a early age enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together; thus his interest was in the mechanical working of cars.  In addition to his mother he will be fondly remembered by his maternal grandparents Ernest and Frances Stokley, a son Wyatt Woodie James Wasson, a brother Caleb Wasson, sisters Harlee Wasson Cheek and Casey Leann Bumgardener, husband Ethan, nephews Landon and Rayland Bumgardner, as well as an aunt Belinda Singleton.  In addition to his paternal grandfather Woody Keith Wasson, Sr.,  Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Vivian Cooper and aunt Deborah Johnson.

A Funeral Remembrance will be held 1:00 PM on Monday Jan. 9 at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Shumate officiating.  Michael will be laid to rest in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens following the Service.  Family members will honor him as pallbearers.  “If ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever.” Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home values the trust and loyalty given to us to care for Michael’s arrangements.
