Mildred graduated from Wilmore High School thereafter marrying Alton Carlisle Garrison and moving to Felicity, Ohio where they had their first and only son, Gary Paul. She was a long time employee of the U. S. Government Food and Drug Administration, Cincinnati, Ohio, retiring from there in the late 1980’s after thirty years of service and moving to Lexington to be closer to her family and especially her brother Josh Jasper whom she provided great care. After retirement, she was active with the Lexington Athletic Club and the Highbridge Volunteer Fire Department, loved to travel to visit her friends and family, and provided great care to other family members all along the way.
Special thanks to Comfort Keepers of Lexington, Baptist Health Hospital staff, Sayre Christian Village, and Bluegrass Hospice Care, all of whom provided a great deal of support to her and her family during the last six weeks of her life. The family recommends donations be made in lieu of flowers to any of the aforementioned organizations.
