Mildred Williams Johnson

Nicholasville: Mildred Williams Johnson, 92, widow of Roger Williams who died in 1981 and Cecil Johnson who died in 1997 died Fri. Jan. 27, at Royal Manor Nursing Home. She was a native of Woodford County born Dec. 22, 1919, to the late Thomas and Ivy Shryock Holman. Mildred was a supervisor for Tococo for 15 years before becoming a Deputy Jessamine County Court Clerk serving with her husband Roger Williams until his death in 1981 at which time she assumed the position of Jessamine County Court Clerk until she retired in 1989. She was a life long member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where she played the organ and piano for many years. Survivors include her daughters Jane Juett husband Ron and Mary Scobee, grandchildren Debbie Gill, Roger Todd Williams, wife April, Sherie Orange, husband Freddie, Anthony Reynolds, wife Kim, Rodney Williams, Danny Stocker, wife Shawna, Ramey Stidham, husband Greg and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Carole Reynolds, grandson Sonny Reynolds, great grandson Bradford Williams, brothers Carl and Raymond Holman and sisters Catherine Pulliam and Mary Belle Williams.

A Service of Remembrance will be 11:00 AM on Tues. Jan. 31, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Dewayne Brewer officiating and she will be laid to rest beside her first husband at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Her grandsons will honor her as pallbearers. Honorary bearers will be Ron Juett, Doug Fain, Marion Williams, Dan Stocker, Austin and Dillon Reynolds, Freddie and Rick Orange and William ‘Bubba’ Blackford. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Mon.
