Nancy was welcomed to her heavenly home July 21, 2021.  Born March 10, 1942 in Williamsport, Indiana, Nancy is survived by her daughters, Dr. Teresa M. Boyd (Dr. David R. Thornton) of Lexington, KY and Dr. Kristine D. Boyd (Chris Comfort) of South Carolina, grandchildren Ryan Thornton (Lexington, KY), Nathan Thornton (Lexington, KY), Tobin Pasui (Mauldin, SC) and JD Pasui (Mauldin, SC), husband Pastor Ronald Phillips (Lexington,KY), and David Sprong, nephew ( Muncie, IN).
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin N. and Almeda B. (Howell) Odle, her brother Robert Odle, her sister Mary (Odle) Sprong and brother-in-law Victor Sprong.
Nancy was a graduate and Valedictorian of the class of 1960 of Seager High School in Indiana.  She furthered her education with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1964 from Purdue University.   She completed a Master’s Degree in Medical Technology from Wayne State University in 1966.  Nancy was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta.
Nancy was a dedicated mother to her daughters, and her grandchildren were the light of her life.  She was an avid stained-glass artist in her spare time; many people have been fortunate recipients of her work.  Nancy was known for her caring, selfless manner.  She was an amazing homemaker, phenomenal cook, gardener, wife, best mom ever, and grandmother. Her courage and determination were evident in every aspect of her life.  Nancy was a mighty prayer warrior and her great desire was to serve and honor her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Words cannot express our thankfulness and appreciation to Crystal, Sharon, Amanda and Betty of Companion Healthcare of Lexington for their loving, compassionate care and providing dignity and comfort in her final days.
