Nellie Ransdell, 92, of Speedway, Indiana, formerly of Nicholasville and widow of John passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. She was born on September 25, 1921 in Jessamine County, KY tothe late Clay and Maggie (Sageser) Jasper. Nellie attended the University of Kentucky and worked at the Indiana State Board of Animal Health as a stenographer for 22 years, was an active member of the Speedway Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. Nellie is survived by children, Sheryl Miller husband Derek, Dan Ransdell wife Annie, Gerri Hampe; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, sisters, Mildred Garrison and Mary L. Anderson. Nellie was preceded in death by ; brothers, Woodrow, Stanley and Paul Jasper; and sister, Ada Scanlon.
Visitation for Nellie will be held at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 12PM until 1pm, with funeral services beginning at 1pm. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
