Nora Perkins Hendrix, 89, beloved wife of Paul Hendrix since 1949, went to her heavenly home on Monday, January 31, 2022. She was born on July 9, 1932 to the late Elzie and Ethel Mae Isaacs Perkins in Madison County, Kentucky. Nora was a dedicated Food Service worker for the Jessamine County Board of Education. She was extremely devoted to her family and her faith, and Logana Baptist Church was her church home. Besides her husband, Nora leaves precious memories with her daughters Phyllis Ann Marksbury and Sandra Kaye Hendrix, a granddaughter Sandra “Michelle” Wilson, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Burton T. Perkins, Catherine Foster, Florence Perkins, Clyde Perkins, Elza“Buck” Perkins, Elzie Perkins, Jr., and Linda Noland. Nora’s family will greet friends beginning at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 8, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, following which they will honor her with a Remembrance Service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Wilson, Kalen Guy, Taylor Prather, Eugene Noland, Wendall Renfro, and Randy East. Nora will be laid to rest at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. “You’ll never forget you mother’s face, the lessons she taught, the things she stood for . . . They are her gift and your legacy.” Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the trust and friendship of the Hendrix Family.
