Nyla Jean Danheiser

Nicholasville: Nyla Jean Vance Danheiser, 65, of Peachtree Dr. died at her home Dec. 27, after a long illness. A native of Versailles, she was born Apr. 3, 1941, to the late Roy Holt and Mildred Jaggers Vance. She was the loving wife and companion to Paul Danheiser for 47 years. Nyla was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling, sewing, gardening, and traveling and was a dedicated grandmother. She worked for the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government and served as secretary for Mayor Scotty Baesler. In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by a daughter, Tammy Danheiser Brooks and husband, David, 2 grandchildren, Joshua Paul Brooks and Dara Danielle Brooks, one great grandchild, Makailee Jenna Brooks, and a brother, Roy Vance. She was preceded in death by a son, Daron Lee Danheiser who died in 1983. The family requests that you come celebrate her life with them on Sat., Jan. 6, from 4-8 PM in the Summit Room of the Crown Plaza at the Campbell House.
