OLIVIA LORENIA CLARKE McCOY, widow of Russell McCoy, died May 3rd after a long illness. She was born in Carbondale, PA on Nov 6, 1937 to the late Heisel and Pearl Price Clarke and graduated from Forest City High School in Forest City, PA in 1955. She and Russell were married in 1956 and became a resident of Nicholasville, KY in1958. She was a member of the Nicholasville Presbyterian Church and had been a former employee of Williams Manufacturing and Sleepy Head House as a bookkeeper and retired from Tacoco in Wilmore. She was always very involved with her children's activities as a football and basketball booster, was a Band Box Mother at Jessamine County High School and in her spare time she was an artist painting birds and lighthouses. She was preceded in death by a son Rusty McCoy, brothers Luvard, Francis, and Wayne Clarke, and sister Betty Stratton. She is survived by daughters Carmeen Hubbard (Bob) and Mary McCoy, and son Daniel McCoy (Nova). She had six loving grandchildren; Eric and Adam Hubbard, Josh Hornback, Misty Martin (Matt), Sarenia and Noah McCoy and four great-grandchildren Kayleigh and Jakob Hornbeck, Judah and Ezra Martin. Also surviving are sisters Dawn Hale, Lucy Clarke, and Helena Plessinger, sister-in-laws Janice Clarke, Cynthia Clarke, Emma Jean Harrod and Rachel Daniels and many loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass. A Service of Remembrance will be held 12:30 PM on Thursday at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Pamela Rucker officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Her grandchildren will honor her as pallbearers.
