Orena Mae Lowry, 88, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the Lancaster Christian Care Center. She was a native of Jessamine County born May 4, 1925, to the late Edward and Susie Gullette Stinnett and is the last of their 12 children. Rena was a member of the First Assembly of God and a retired designer for Hunters Florist. She leaves to cherish her memory her children James E. Lowry, wife Diane, Pamela Harrison, husband Lloyd, Roger Lowry, and Saundra Cathey, husband David and grandchildren Kimberly Russell, husband Jerry, Kenneth Lowry, wife Vicki, Christy Greathouse, husband Wesley, Sondra Nicodemus, husband Nick, Gina Robinson, husband Tim, and Cheryl Lowry as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, Sept. 21, at the First Assembly Church of God. She will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Lloyd Harrison, David Cathy, Nick Nicodemus, Tim Robinson, Wesley Greathouse, and Raymond Lee. The family will receive friends at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home on Friday, Sep. 20, from 4 to 8 PM. Flowers are welcome but the family suggest donations in her memory be made to First Assembly of God Church, 1701 Wilmore Rd, Nicholasville, KY. 40356.
