Mrs. Ova Marie Peel, 92, widow of Jack Peel since 1993, was promoted to Glory on Thursday, October 27, 2022. Ova was born on July 8, 1930 in Liberty, Kentucky to the late Monroe and Alta Murphy Long. She long enjoyed working as a Greeter at Walmart, and she was a devoted member of the Church of God. She leaves a lifetime of memories with several nieces and will be dearly missed by her loving caregivers, Michelle Wyman and Mamie Masters, who was also Ova’s best friend. Besides her parents and her husband Jack, she was also preceded in death by her brother Floyd Long and her sister Mary Lou Arsenault. Family and friends may visit beginning at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 1, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home until the time of her Remembrance Service, 2:00 PM. Ova will be laid to rest beside her husband at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens following the Service. Pallbearers include Josh, Caleb, and JT Fain, and Stewart Peck. “This beloved child of God is finally Home with her Savior!” Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the trust and loyalty granted to us to care for Ova and her dear ones.
