Paul is survived by his wife, Sandra Teresa Johnston Akers, sons, Winston Paul Akers and wife Anna, Darren Wayne Sturdy, Graham Robert Sturdy and wife Jo, daughters Debra Kay Garret and husband Gregg, Lesley Karen Maskell and husband Dan, 1 brother, Bill Akers and wife Mary, 3 sisters, Ginny Baker, Joan Young, Ruth Crace, 7 grandchildren, Amanda Heather Akers, Adam Gregory Akers, India Alyse Garrett, Jacob Paul Garrett, Jovi Maverick Maskell, Ben Sturdy, and Adam Sturdy. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, James Akers, Dick Akers, Robert Akers, and 2 sisters, Marjorie Akers, Betty Rockwell, and his first wife, Jean Olive Akers.
