Nicholasville: Paul Brooks, 75, of Troy Pike died Sun. April 12, at Central Baptist Hospital. A native of Jessamine County he was born March 16, 1934, to the late Elloitt and Dora Gladys Hamm Brooks. He was a US Army veteran, a farmer and had been an employee of Diamond A Farm for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Diane Bishop Brooks, 3 daughters Debbie Bain, husband Ernie, Jan Waits, husband Don, and Cathy Brooks, a son David Brooks, wife Tammy, 2 sisters Elsie Roberts and Nancy Gayhart, a brother Clarence Brooks, 5 grandchildren Tiffany Bain Shewmaker, husband John, Allie Bain Conn, husband Jamie, Lesley Waits Boysel, husband Chris, Josh Brooks, Cara Brooks Ethington, husband Matt, 4 great grandchildren Westyn Shewmaker, Cotton Conn, Makailee Brooks, Logan Ethington, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter Thresa Jean Brooks and a brother Harry Brooks.
Services will be 1:00 PM Thus. April 16, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Davis officiating, burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Shewmaker, Jamie Conn, Chris Boysel, Matt Ethington, Josh Brooks, and Ben Doyle. Honorary bearers will be Kevin Corman, Ricky Boyd, Dwight Willis, Ricky Poore, Dick Chapman, and Miguel Hernandez. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Wed., April 15, at the funeral home.
