Paul Edward Hendrix

Paul Edward Hendrix 96, widower of Nora Perkins Hendrix since Jan. 2022 and loving father of Phyllis Marksbury and Sandra Kaye Hendrix, entered his heavenly home on Monday, November 28, 2022.   He was a native of Valley View, KY, born Nov. 18, 1926, to the late Marty and Blanche Lee Garrett Hendrix. He was employed by the Jessamine County Board of Education in the Maintenance Department and was a faithful member of Logana Baptist Church.  In  addition to his children he will be fondly remembered by a grandchild Sandra Michelle Wilson, husband Jerry,  bothers Mike Renfro, wife Phyllis, Wendell Allen “Joe” Renfro, wife Faye, sister Patricia Bryant, husband, Les, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by siblings Henrietta Hendrix Hudson, Bobby, Dan, Roy and Gary Renfro, Kenneth Lee “Red” Hendrix and his wife Betty. A Service of Remembrance conducted by Rev. Steve Ashley will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 11:00 AM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, following which Paul will be laid to rest in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Mike Renfro, Dr. Rick Redden, Randy East, Bob Jacobs, Taylor Prather, Reagan Cobb, Marty Hendrix, Larry Garrett, and Eugene Noland.  Honorary Bearers will be Jeff Hendrix, Joe Renfro, Jerry Wilson, Mike House, and Shirley Smith. The family will greet friends at the funeral home beginning at 9:30 AM Saturday until time of Service. “What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us.”  Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home deeply appreciates the trust and loyalty given to us by the Hendrix family to care for Paul’s arrangements.
