Peggy Sue Hager Adams

PEGGY SUE HAGER ADAMS, 61, Nicholasville, KY, died Sept.9, 2012 after a short illness. Born April 3, 1951 in Nicholasville, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Evelyne K. Hager. A graduate of Jessamine County High School, she was employed in the automobile industry for nearly 30 years.

She was a member of the Nicholasville Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and was a cheerleading coach and member of a local homemakers club many years ago.

A longtime cat lover, Peggy never turned away a stray, providing homes for many unwanted felines during her lifetime, including "Bitty," "Sis," "Ollie" and "Willie," four cats currently residing at her home.

Peggy also loved to travel visiting New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Florida and the Bahamas, but she recalled a long-ago vacation in Maui, Hawaii, with her mother as her most memorable trip.

Before her passing, Peggy wanted to thank all of those who visited her in her last few weeks offering kind thoughts and prayers, especially her dearest friends Barbara Perkins and Eileen Welch, and her classmates from the Jessamine County High School Class of ’69.

She is survived by son, Charles Hugh Adams and wife, Renda Adams, Nicholasville; brother, Terry L. Hager and wife, Jacqueline Hager, Nicholasville; sisters, Charlene Hager-Van Dyke and husband, Randal Van Dyke, Deltona, FL, and Mimi Hager Hughes and husband, Timothy Hughes, San Antonio, Texas; grandson, Charles Bolen Adams, Nicholasville; niece, Angela Hager-Watson, Burnside, KY.

A Remembrance Ceremony will be held 2:00 PM Sat. Sept 15th at the funeral home.
