Peggy Sue Alcorn, 67, loving wife of David Bruce Alcorn for 36 years left her earthly home on Sunday August 16, 2020.  She was a native of Winchester, KY born July 5, 1953, to the late James and Nancy Jackson Gay. Peggy was a Teachers Assistant at Brookside for 14 years and also worked at The Early Learning Village, as well as being 7 years at the VA Day Care Center in Wilmore.  She loved to camp and fish in her off time.  She will be fondly remembered by her son James Allen Scott Brown, grandchildren William and Audrey Renė Brown and a great granddaughter, as well as brothers Carlton Gay, wife Linda and James Gay.  A Remembrance Service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, Aug., 20, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Winters officiating.  She will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery.  Honoring her as pallbearers will be  James Gay, James Brown, Carlton Gay, Ronnie Bains, David Alcorn and William Brown.  The family will greet friend beginning at 4:00 PM and ending at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19,  at the funeral home.  “Grief never ends…but it changes.  It’s a passage, not a place to stay.  Grief is the price of love”.  Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home values nothing more than the trust given to us by the Alcorn family to care for Peggy.

The family has requested that all visitors wear a mask when visiting or attending Peggy’s service
