Phyllis Annette Redmon, 53, loving wife for 32 years of Jerry Redmon, entered into eternal rest on Monday, Feb. 20. She was a native of Hazard, KY, born Dec. 16, 1963, to Sam and the late Patricia Thorpe. Phyllis was an employee of Rose Terrace Lodge and a member of the Apostolic Fellowship Holiness Church. She was a devoted Facebook user, loved her family, like Southern Rock Music to which she like to dance, but most of all she will be remembered for her beautiful smile and her contagious laughter. In addition to her husband and father, she leaves her memories with a sister Deborah Hall as well as numerous nieces and nephews and her friends at Rose Terrace. She was preceded in death by sisters Carolyn Whitehead and Teresa Thorpe and brother Bennie Thorpe. A Remembrance Service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, Feb. 28 at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery. Her family will greet friends from 4 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to serve Phyllis’s family.
