Raymond Junior Crank, 75, passed away at his home on Monday, Dec. 1, in the presence of his loving wife Brenda Dokken Crank, to whom he had been married to for almost 40 years. He was a native of Olive Hill, Kentucky born June 9, 1939, to the late John Oather and Ludie Leona Utley Crank. He was a retired police officer for the Lexington Fayette Urban Government and also had been a deputy with the Fayette County Sheriff Department and a US Army veteran. He loved being outdoors which included hunting, fishing, and gardening. He had a passion for cooking and always enjoyed providing for his family. He is survived by his children Teresa, John, Kelly, Phillp, Donnie, Pam, and Tammy. He is also survived by his brother Gene, wife LaVerne, sisters Leona, and Maxine, husband Harold, as well as 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends. In lieu of flowers his family requests that donations be sent to Lodge # 4 Fraternal Order of Police. His wishes were to be cremated without a service.
