Richard Marion Colyer, 65, a US Marine veteran having served during the Vietnam War died at the VA Hospital in Lexington on Sunday, Aug. 14. He is the son of Richard W. Colyer, FL. and the late Elizabeth K. Colyer, born Dec. 9, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio. During his time in the Marines he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Navy Unit Citation, Vietnamese Cross Gallantry with palm and Gfr, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Stars, and the Rifle Marksman Badge. He was a member of the Trinity Tabernacle Baptist Church, the DAV, and was a Kentucky Colonel. In addition to his father survivors include 2 daughters Antionia E. Jordan, Garrison, KY., and Tammy Holt, Corbin, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a brother Gary Colyer.

Graveside Services will be 2:30 PM Thurs. Aug. 18, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, with full Military Honors. Rev. Henry Westerfield will officiate. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home was honored to provide arrangements. Guestbook www.hagerandcundifffunerals.com Richard
