Robert J. Hesselbach

Robert Joseph Hesselbach, 72, of Nicholasville, died Monday July 9, at St. Joseph Hospice Care Center. He was a native of New York, born March 16, 1940, to the late Henry and Marie Schnell Hesselbach. He was the widower of Margaret Hesselbach who died in 2000, a draftsman engineer for Nesbitt Engineering and a veteran of the US Air Force.

Survivors include his children Timothy A. Hesselbach, VA, Beth A. McDonald, husband Robby, Lexington, Eleanor Everett, husband Joe, VA, Kurt Hesselbach, wife Jennifer, Nicholasville, Ludwig Hesselbach, wife Catherine, Nicholasville, Heidi Darling and Robby Hesselbach both of CT, a sister Josephine Zonarch, brother Harry Hesselbach, both of CT, grandchildren Amber Pfeiffer, husband Steven, Caleb Hesselbach, wife Ashley, Heidi Layne McDonald, Garth Howard McDonald, Chase Louis McDonald, wife Stephanie, Mathew Hesselbach, Samatha Wilson, William Wilson, Sabrina Wilson, Taylor Ireland Hesselbach, Courtney Paige Hesselbach, Noah Curtis Hesselbach, Amelia Brianne Hesselbach, Sebastian Riley Hesselbach, and William Von Hesselbach, and great grandchildren Makayla Rose Hesselbach, Trevor Harry Pfeiffer, Emma Rae Hesselbach, Collin Louis McDonald, and Cordelia Roxanne Wilson. He was preceded in death by a sister.

A Remembrance Ceremony will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, July 12, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, honoring him as pallbearers will be family members. He will be laid to rest with his wife at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, July 11.
