The Parker family has experienced the tragic loss of Andy Parker, 61, husband of Beth, father of Steve, wife Meagan and Katherine, and grandfather of Jack, Penny, and an expected grandchild. Andy was native of Lexington, KY born Jan. 27, 1956, to the late Walker and Katherine Lowry Parker. Andy was a retired employee of IBM and filled his time with being a soccer coach, volunteered for the Jessamine County and City of Nicholasville Fire Department, had attended the Citizens Police Academy, worked for the Jessamine County Detention Center, the Jessamine County Coroner’s office, and his latest employment for the past several years has been with the Jessamine County Board of Education driving a school bus. One can tell Andy was committed to being active in the community . His hobbies were woodworking and his grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Shirley Harney, Cynthiana, brothers Leo Parker, Louisiana and Waker Parker, wife Barbara, Florida as well as many extended family members. His family will greet friends from 4 to 8 PM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. In keeping with his wishes, there will not be a Service.
