Roberta Fain Dean

Roberta Fain Dean, 91, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Mayfair Manor. She was the widow of Carl A. Dean since 1975. Roberta was a native of Jessamine County born Dec. 15, 1922, to the late Robert and Charity Blakeman Fain. She loved searching for antiques with her friends, traveling, and being a Jessamine County Homemaker. She was an active member of the Nicholasville Christian Church where she participated in the Church Circle #3 and the JOY Sunday School Class. She leaves to cherish her memories sons Robert Charles "Bobby" Dean, wife Shay, Thomas Atwood "Tommy" Dean and Nina Begley, and Barry Shannon Dean, grandchildren Molly Stevens, husband Wayne and Micah Dean, wife Katie, great granddaughter Piper Reagan Stevens, a sister Louise Teater and her close friend Mitsy Pine. She was preceded in death by a brother George Fain and her close friend Katherine Brumfield. A Service of Remembrance will be 11:00 AM Saturday, Aug. 9, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Foster officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Bobby Bourne, Brad Teater, Greg Teater, Wayne Stevens, Micah Dean, and Brad Lewellan. Honorary bearer will be Richard Brumfield. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM Friday, Aug. 8, at the funeral home. Her family would appreciate donations in her memory to be made to Nicholasville Christian Church Property Fund.
