Robin Ambrose Mccarty

Nicholasville: Robin Ambrose McCarty , 49, of Logana Rd. died July 8, at Central Baptist Hospital. A native of New York she was born Sept. 4, 1956, to the late Joseph and Eleanor Renner Ambrose. Robin was a teacher at Bluegrass Community College and was also employed by Good Foods Co-Op. She was a graduate of Merrimount College receiving her BS degree and a graduate of University of Georgia receiving a degree in Fine Arts, she had taught in many schools in Central Florida where she lived from 1978 to 2002 including Valencia Community College where she was curator of art from 1985 to 1987, Maitland Art Center, and Crealde School of Art. She was a well respected artist and had shown her work in many galleries. She was a member of National Art Fraternity KAPPA PI and a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband Scott McCarty, 2 sisters Leona and Eleanor Ambrose along with a host of special friends. She was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Ambrose.
