Ronald “Ronnie” Wayne Curd,77, devoted and loving husband of Vivian Louise for 59 years, left his earthly home on Sunday, Oct 29, 2023. He was a native of Woodford County born June 18, 1946, to the late Turley Dudley and Minnie Frances Norton Curd. Ronnie is the last of their four sons, having been preceded in death by Sammy, Bobby, and Dale Curd. He was a member of the East Hickman Baptist Church for many years but in recent years attended Anderson Christian Church in Lawrenceburg. He was a hard-working guy who often said, “Don’t waste time,” and he instilled this in all his family. Ronnie was a farmer having worked for UK Agriculture Engineering for 30 years and receiving the Paul Nestor award for his time in agriculture at UK. He also enjoyed making sorghum with his self-built sorghum mill in his spare time. Agriculture was his natural-born talent, and he loved to educate others with his knowledge. Having a passion to repair cars, he opened Ron’s Auto Body in 1964. Never to be idle he also was employed by AAA Transit as a truck driver. He spent his free time mowing the farm and woodworking. Though he was a busy man, Ronnie always made time to spend with his wife Louise and children Angela Spencer, husband Eddie, Ronald Edward Dudley Curd, wife Cheryl, and Rachel Alelia Curd, and grandchildren Kayla Smith, husband Braden, Olivia Blair Curd, Reagan Edward King, Preston Xavier King, and Bentley Wayne King. He will also be fondly remembered by a cousin Gary Lane Curd and uncle Billy Curd, as well as many other extended family members and friends. On Wednesday Nov. 1, the family will hold a Remembrance Memorial Service at 1:00 PM at the Anderson Christian Church, 1631 US Hwy 127, Lawrenceburg with Pastor Jonathan Gleason officiating. They will greet friends beginning at 12:00 noon at the Church. The family suggests donations be made in his memory to the Anderson Christian Church. “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever.” Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home and Cremations values nothing more than the trust and loyalty given to us to care for the arrangements of Ronnie.
