Rose Ann Durrum, 75, of Wilmore, left her earthly home on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017. She was a life long resident of Jessamine County, born May 17, 1942, to the late William and Fannie Mae Jones Reffitt, and loving wife for 9 years of Denis Charles McGinity. Rose was a self employed private duty caregiver taking care of many people in Jessamine and Fayette Counties. She loved to square dance as she and Denis were active members of the Down Under Squares, and they also loved to bowl. Rose won the Kentucky State Horse Shoe Championship in the 1970’s but her main interest was her family. She loved planning cookouts, holiday and birthday dinners, as well cooking all the meals. Rose was the highlight of her family. She leaves her memories with her children Harvey Russell Durrum, Jr., Cindy Lane, companion Johnny, Danny Ray Durrum, Sr., wife Tammy and Gary Wayne Durrum, wife Delilah, 5 grandchildren, Tabitha White, husband Larry, Danny Durrum, Jr., Ashley Dawn Lane, Sarah Beth Lane, and Gary Wayne Durrum, Jr., 5 great grandchildren Bailee, Brayden, and Benjamin White, Danny Durrum III and Paisley Durrum, as well as sisters Vonnie Lee Arnett and Barbara Barber, husband Donnie, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by sons Joey and Michael Keith Durrum, sisters Ora Mae Worster and Alma Shell, and a brother Everett Reffitt. A Remembrance Memorial will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, Nov. 4, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. The family will greet friends starting at 10:00 AM until time of Service. Rose will be laid to rest in Wilmore Cemetery following the Remembrance Memorial. “Those we love don’t go away, They walk beside us everyday, unsee, unheard, but always near”. Donations may be made to the Bluegrass Care Navigators in her memory. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is proud to serve the family of Rose Ann Durrum.
