Rosemary Richards Stevens, 92, widow of Roy Gilford Stevens since 2004, joined him in eternal rest on July 20, 2022.  She was a patient of the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.  Being one of eight children born to the late Leslie Allen and Lillie Jackson Richards,  Rosemary was a native of Indiana, born on Sept 17, 1929.  She was a loving wife and mother who provided a wonderful home for the family. Rosemary had been a devoted and long-standing member of Porter Memorial Baptist Church. She will be fondly remembered by her children Daniel Wade Stevens, wife Susan, Catherine Irene Stevens Watson, husband Joseph, and James Neal Stevens, wife Karen, 8 grandchildren Brian Wade Purcell, Wesley Watson, wife Evelyn, Jinger Stevens, Kimberly Snell, husband Aaron, Brynne Stevens, Aaron Stevens, Elijah Stevens, and Ethan Roy Stevens, as well as 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.  She leaves her childhood memories with sister Ruth Elkins.   Rosemary was preceded in death by a son Howard Wesley Stevens and four brothers and two sisters.  A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, July 25, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Bruce officiating.  Entombment will be held at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.  Family members will honor her as pallbearers. Her family will greet friends beginning a 12:00  Noon until time of service at 2 PM.
