Sam Harrold O'Connell

91, of Hickory Hill, died Wed., March 1, at the Thomson Hood Veterans Center, Wilmore. A native of Woodford County , he was born Feb. 4, 1915 and was the widower of Daisy Preston O'Connell who died in 2002, and a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by a son Bob O'Connell and wife Janet, a daughter in law Charlotte O'Connell Pandolfo, FL, and 2 grandsons. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Myrtie Guyn O'Connell, a son Hugh O'Connell in 1991, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Services were held Fri., March 3, 2006 at HAGER & CUNDIFF FUNERAL HOME, on Oak St. , Rev. Don Reed and Rev. Greg Porterfield officiated, burial was in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation was Tues., Feb. 28, 2006 at the funeral home.
