Sandra Ruth Thomas Wilkinson

Sandra Ruth Thomas Wilkinson, 65, widow of Joseph K. Wilkinson since 2002, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 20. Sandra was a native of Jessamine County born July 19, 1950, to the late James Edward and Dora K. Rhorer Thomas. She was the daughter-in-law of Gertrude Wilkinson and the late Joseph Wilkinson. Sandra was a member of Wilmore United Methodist Church and a retired accountant for Clear Channel Radio. After her retirement she enjoyed working for St. John's Bingo and for ASM in their in-store demonstration department at Walmart, but most of all she enjoyed spending educational trips with her grandchildren. She leaves memories with a daughter Rebecca Leigh "Becky" Tillery, husband Scott and son Joseph T. "Joe" Wilkinson, grandchildren Coleman and Savannah Tillery, sisters Margaret Thomas Curtsinger and Angie Thomas Simpson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Remembrance Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 24, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Wilmore Cemetery. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Joe Wilkinson, Coleman Tillery, Scott Tillery, Jimmy Beckett, Kasey Varney, Mike Rhorer, James Rhorer, Steve Rhorer, Tom Rhorer, and Claude Edward Jacobs. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, June 23, at the funeral home. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to be of service to Sandra's family.
