Lexington: Sarah "Sally" Arnett Hampton, a long time resident of Lexington, passed away Sunday, July 20, at Wesley Village in Wilmore from Alzheimer's disease. She was born Feb. 28, 1937, in Gainesville, FL, where she grew up and attended P.K. Younge School, was a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in design, and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. After moving to Lexington she was an employee of McAlpin's Department Store and was a member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church. Sally loved to travel, watch movies and attend concerts and plays. She is survived by daughters Kim and Kelly Hampton both of Lexington, sister-in-law Judy Arnett of Winter Park, FL, and several nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her brother William D. Arnett. A Remembrance of Sally's life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 24, at Southern Hills United Methodist Church. Her family will receive friends starting at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church. Donations in her memory and in appreciation of the care she has received may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Wesley Village. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to serve Sally's family.
