Sharon (Peel) Durbin

Sharon Peel Durbin, 65, left her earthly home on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018.  She was a native of Lexington born Nov. 28, 1952, to the late James M. and Edna V. Smith Peel.  Sharon was an extremely talented musician and opened shows for top country music entertainers such as Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Ernest Tubb, and Porter Wagner as well as singing at the Grand Ole Opry.  She had a love for playing the guitar and a gift for singing.  She will be remembered fondly by her brother Mike Peel, nephew Doug Comley, wife Angel, nieces Gina Buckler, husband Larry and Melissa Davis, husband Jim.  She was preceded in death by a sister Nora Sparks and nephew Ronnie Sparks.  A Remembrance Memorial will be held at a future time which will be announced later.
