Nicholasville: Sherman Peel, 77, of Holly Hill Circle, died Mon., Jan. 8. A native of Paint Lick, he was born May 5, 1929, to the late James and Vernie Leger Peel. He was a lifelong farmer, former member of the Beef Cattle Association, and former board member of Southern States. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Edith, a son, Sherman ‘Butch’ Peel, Jr. and wife Lola, two daughters, Regina Kay Tanner, and Susanne Morgan and husband Gary, eight grandchildren and two step grandchildren, Sherman (Pete) Peel, III, Donna Michelle Smith and husband Ricky, Travis Allen Peel and wife Heather, Rachel Jean Peel, Heather Ridgway, Nathan Ridgway, Sarah Morgan, George Morgan, Ashley Tanner, and Ross Tanner, five great grandchildren, Trevor, Hayleigh, Austin, Dalton, and Tanner, a brother, Ed Peel, and his pets, his dog, Sadie and his cat, Patches.

Services will be held at HAGER & CUNDIFF FUNERAL HOME 1 PM, Thurs., Jan. 11 with Rev. Greg Porterfield officiating. Visitation will be 2-8 PM, Wed, Jan. 10. Burial will be in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ross Tanner, Travis Peel, Nathan Ridgway, George Morgan, Sherman Peel, III, Charles L.
