Shirley (Knisley) Lewis

Shirley Knisley Lewis, 79, loving wife of Marion Lewis, entered into eternal rest at her home surrounded by her family on May 4, 2023. She was one of five children born to the late Arthur R. and Margaret Elizabeth Kissell Knisley.  She was born Jan. 27, 1944, in Florence, Colorado   Shirley was a member of the Clays Mill Road Baptist Church and a true homemaker who loved to babysit children and cook. Her husband said her best dish was her special recipe for Nachos with Chili.  She will be fondly remembered by daughters Pamela Lewis, Laura Bozarth, Linda Lewis, Shelly Lewis, Rhonda Stilwell and son Terry Lewis, as well as her, 13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.  She was preceded in death by a son Larry Marion Lewis, sisters Sharon Dunn, Margaret Busetti, Edith Lewis and brother Raymond Knisley.  Her family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 11 at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with a Graveside Service at 11:30 AM in Maple Grove Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Jeff Harris, Flynn Rogers, Dan Stilwell, Fabian Gaona, Terry Lewis, and Dewey Bozarth.  “Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, she was loved beyond words and will be missed  beyond measure.”  Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home values nothing more than the trust given to us by the Lewis family to care for Shirley’s arrangements.
