Steele White died February 14, 2013 in his home after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne White, step-children Robin Barnes-Moore and Brad Barnes. Step-grandchildren Chelsea Moore, Billy Moore, Chloe Moore and Vanessa Barnes. Sisters Minnie Garrett, Hazel Gedrich, brother Jack White and several nieces and nephews. Steele has donated his body to the UK Department of Anatomy. A Veterans service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass or Jessamine County Animal Shelter.
