Terry Jane (Wilder) Wilkerson

On November 29, 2023 Terry Jane Wilkerson age 97, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother went home to be with the Lord.

“TJ” as she preferred to be called, possessed an adventurous spirit, and loved to travel and see the world. She would often accompany her late husband Donald on his business trips across the U.S., as well as to the UK, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

Terry Jane was also an avid golfer who enjoyed “hitting the links” well into her later years. In addition, she was also an accomplished artist. Some of her children’s and grandchildren’s most cherished possessions are the lovely landscapes, seascapes, wildlife scenes and still life portraits that TJ created.

TJ was blessed to have found love “a second time around” when she married Merritt Wilkerson of Rock Hill, SC. TJ and Merritt were truly a love match, and were devoted to each other until Merritt’s passing in 2020.

Terry Jane is survived by her son, Doug (Wanda) Smart, and her daughter, Donna Smart; stepsons Frank (Cindy) Wilkerson and Randy Wilkerson; granddaughter Mindy (Shaun) Leonard; great-grandchildren Dahlia and Cameron Leonard.

A private family service will be held at the First ARP Church in Rock Hill, SC, the date TBD. In lieu of flowers, TJ’s family has requested that memorials be made to:
