Timothy Ray Kelly, 69, left this world on January 20th, 2022. He passed away peacefully and entered into the arms of the savior he loved so much.
He was born on May 11, 1952 in Welch, West Virginia to Jaqueline Marie Kelly and the late Ray Willard Kelly. He was a retired Parts Manager for Apex/RentCo, going back soon after to work part time in the same role. A devoted follower of Christ, he quietly impacted many with his faith. He enjoyed Kentucky Basketball and Football and was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan. He could always be caught sharing a mildly inappropriate joke on Facebook with the ever-ready excuse of “I'm old, people can't judge me now!” A lifelong “mama's boy”, he relished in being the oldest, the only boy and “mom's favorite”--just ask his 4 sisters. His greatest source of happiness was spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of almost 34 years, Renita Creech Kelly; his children: Brian Kelly of Richmond, VA and Chelsea Kelly of Nicholasville, KY; his mother Jacqueline Marie Taylor of Romulus, MI; sisters Debbie Patterson (Steve) of Belleville, IL, Kathy Warden (Richard) of Romulus, MI, Connie Goble of Monroe, MI, and Kim Radakovic (Milan) of New Boston, MI. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Hunter, Coree, Jonathan, Grace, Brady and Aubrey. He leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces and cherished friendsIn addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a stepfather, Floyd Taylor; a special nephew, Michael Radakovic; and a brother-in-law, David Goble, who he joined in Heaven within hours of one another. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shriners Children's Lexington. A Remembrance Service will be held Friday Jan 28, 1:00PM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home and he will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday 01/27/2022 beginning at 6:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM. Hager & Cundiff values the trust given to us to care for his arrangements.
