Vickie (Portillo) Sparks

Vickie Portillo Sparks, 80, wife of Bill Sparks, left her earthly home on Thursday, April 12, 2018. She was a native of Texas, born April 27, 1937 to the late Luiz and Getrudis Fabela Portillo. Vickie was a former employee of Goodwill Industries in Nicholasville, a loving mother and grandmother. Her passion was being a homemaker and taking care of her family. In addition to Bill. with whom she spent 55 years. she is survived by daughters Linda Sparks, Anneice Sparks, and Billie Rose Sparks, as well as 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a sister Ludy Portillo, of Texas. She was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Sandy Disponette. Her family will receive friends starting at 5:00 PM and ending at 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 19 at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with cremation to follow. “What the heart has once known, it shall never forget”.
