Victor E. Comley, 89, beloved husband of Geraldine Sloan Comley, died at home on December 21, 2008, surrounded by his adoring children, Laura Comley, Missy Beattie, Mark Comley, and Richard Comley, and a sister, Gwen Comley Lentz. Also left are grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Comley graduated from the University of Kentucky in June of 1942 as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He served his country during WWII and was promoted to the rank of captain.

Comley retired from his position as Director of the Kentucky Association of Highway Contractors and was president of the national association for a year. On retiring, he founded Comley Construction Co., was a property appraiser for Jessamine and surrounding counties, and was a Nicholasville city commissioner, believing that one must be productive for as long as possible.

Comley was a deacon, an elder, Sunday School teacher, and church treasurer.

Known as Bicor to his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Comley was loved by all who knew him.
