Nicholasville: Wanda D. Brock Welch Smith, 59, died Friday, April 1, at the Jessamine Ambulatory Hospital. A native of Scott County she was bron Dec. 22, 1951, to the late John and Helen Brock. Wanda was a member of the New Beginning Community Church and Relay to Life. She is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband Roger Smith, son Eddie Welch, daughter and her husband Tina Welch and James Lewis, step daughters and husbands Jacqueline and Juan Mendoza, CA, and Jammie and Monte Jones, MD, grandchildren Jesse Keith Welch, Joseph Lewis, Emily Jones, John, Christian, and David Mendoza, and Danielle Smith, brothers and their wives Johnny and Margaret Brock, Billy and Joyce Brock, Jeff and Jan Brock, and Tony Brock, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Wayne Welch and a son Steven Wesley Smith.

A service to honor her life will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, April 7, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 until time of service.
