The Patriarch of the Walters family, William David Walters, joined his loving wife Lois in eternal rest on Feb 10, 2025. David was a native of Jessamine County, born April 7, 1938, to the late William Perry III and Mattie Logan Walters. He was a member of the Sulphur Well Christian Church, a US Army veteran, and a retired employee of Proctor & Gamble, where he was a Cost Accountant. David was a farmer and drove cars for Sutherland Chevrolet for 20 years, which became his hobby and a way to socialize. He loved going to car shows and took pride in his Austin-Healy that he had refurbished. He also enjoyed fishing at Lake Cumberland, listening to Bluegrass music and spending time with the family. He leaves his memories with his adoring family: son Perry Walters, wife Rebecca, and daughter Cindy Revelette, husband Rob, grandchildren Christian Campbell, Hope Campbell, and Brady Walters, as well as sister Ellen Collins, niece Carol Collins Heil, husband Mark, nephew Keith Collins, and extended family members and friends. A Remembrance Service will be 1:00 PM Feb. 17 at Southland Christian Church Chapel with Rev. Brewster McLeod officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Honoring him as Pallbearers will be Bruce Ham, Dewayne Anglin, Gary Goldey, Greg Woolums, Duane McCuddy, Christian Campbell, Brian Wade, and Darien Wade. Honorary Bearers will be Brady Walters, Shane Anglin, Bradley Anglin, Chris Isaacs, and Eddie Hardy. The family will greet friends beginning at 11:00 AM until time of Service at Southland Christian Church. “Where ever a beautiful soul has been there is a trail of beautiful memories." Arrangements are under the direction of Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, and we would like to express our deepest sympathy to the Walters family and friends.
