Wilmore: Willie Mae Johns, 86, of Jewell Rd., died Friday, Dec. 7, at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born in Woodford County to the late Edward Grant and Myrtle Mae Patterson Wilson, but lived most of her life in Jessamine County. Willie Mae was a member of the Wilmore Christian Church and a dedicated homemaker, Mother, and wife. She was the widow of Sanders Johns whom she had been married to for 65 years when he passed away in April, 2006. She is survived by a daughter Carolyn Mae Wells, husband Richard, a son Bradley Sanders Johns, wife Donna, son in law Harold Hill , wife Leslie, 2 brothers Milton E. Wilson, wife Juanita, and Louis McMillen Wilson, wife Connie, 7 grandchildren Robin Michelle Pyle, Ashley Bernard Hill, Steven Russell Hill, Christopher Ryan Johns, wife Gina, Audra Marie Meighan, husband Matt, Andrew Michael Johns, wife Rebecca, and Mary Lynn Johns, 3 great grandchildren Michelle Ann Pyle, Anthony Michael Pyle, and Luke Sanders Johns, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter Annetta Jean Hill.

Services will be 10:00 AM Tues. Dec. 11, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Flewelling officiating, burial in Wilmore Cemetery. Grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary bearers will be Ralph Gordon and her nephews. Visitation will be on Mon., Dec. 10 from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Donations may be made in her memory to Wilmore Christian Church.
