Willmot Preston "Press" Veal

Willmot Preston Veal, 74, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, left his earthly home in Lexington, Ky on October 20th, 2021. He was at peace and surrounded by his family.  Press lived and worked in Jessamine County for most of his life and was a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky. After graduation, he taught middle school in Jessamine County and later worked alongside his father, Harlan Veal, in the real-estate and auctioneer business. Press loved horses, UK sports, and his family with all his heart. He will always be loved and remembered fondly by those who knew him best.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Veal and Harlan Veal Sr. of Nicholasville, Kentucky and his sister, Mary Lou Veal Routt of Lexington. Press is survived by his three children, Tami Ann Veal of Nicholasville, Preston Jarod Veal of Nicholasville, Leah Veal of St. Petersburg, FL, three grandchildren, Alexis Guarnieri, Olivia Halley, Annslea House, three great-grandchildren, Kamryn Guarnieri, Sadie Guarnieri and Karter Guarnieri, brother Harley Veal and wife Phyllis Veal of Lexington.

Visitation will be held at Hager & Cundiff Friday, October 22nd from 12-2 pm with a graveside service to follow. The service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Nicholasville Christian Church Disciples of Christ.  This obituary was lovingly submitted by Press’s family.  Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the trust and loyalty given to us to care for the Veal family.
